National Grid’s plan for a fracked, Liquefied Natural Gas liquefaction facility in Fields Point is the last straw for an overburdened and dangerous port and a clear act of environmental racism. NoLNGinPVD is a grassroots effort made up of frontline community members supported by Environmental Justice League of Rhode Island, The FANG Collective, Rhode Island Sierra Club and many other churches, businesses, community groups etc. As the coalition prepares to contiue community outreach and build opposition to the $180 million dollar fracked gas infrastructure National Grid wants RI’ers to pay for, the campaign needs $$$ to support community members work and to pay for legal representation.
