The Psycads
When Fred Jackson (original harmonica player for Roomful of Blues) and Geoff Greene (classically trained organist) got together in 1996, they knew they had a special chemistry to create psychedelic reggae and ska sounds. Geoff’s pal Tim Burbank and Fred’s cohort Bro Dunn were soon enlisted, followed by the addition of two veterans of the Rhode Island reggae scene, Zuke Ebii (Maasai) and Peter Breen (Sex Magic) and Geoff’s cousin Rob Liguori. The Psycads regularly play at Roots Cultural Center and The ROI in Providence. We have opened for major international acts including Toots and the Maytals, The Wailers, Steel Pulse, Burning Spear, The Skatalites, and Eek-A-Mouse. The Psycads have performed at The New England Reggae Festival, The Providence Waterfront Festival, The Ocean Mist, and a variety of other clubs in southern New England.
