Based in NYC, Porterfield enthralls listeners with its indie-fusion quartet that pushes the boundaries between singer-songwriter, rock, and jazz. The experimental instrumentation of vocals, guitar, synth bass, saxophone and fx, and drums creates a rich and dynamic spectrum of music.

With Jacob Aviner (songwriter, guitar, vocals), JP Goldman (Synth Bass), Steve Bartashev (Drums), and Jared Yee (saxophone, Sungazer, Aberdeen, New York Chillharmonic), Porterfield has performed and toured previously in major east coast markets including New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington DC. Porterfield has been nominated twice in a row for the Boston Music Awards’ Jazz Artist of the Year (2018-2019).
