On Thursday November 23rd we have a special Holiday edition of DiscoTech. The event will feature some of Providence’s dance music culture icons. Headlining the night will be none other than DJ Venom. Venom has been holding it down for Providence since the early days. As the founder of Volume Productions he brought some of the earliest successful dance nights to Providence. Energy ran for many years, packing out with hundreds of frenzied music lovers, on a Tuesday Night. DJ Venom continues to bring music to the people as the head monster behind Morlock Music. When not touring or teaching, you can find Venom out supporting events around the city we love. Also joining us will be Jeff LeClair. It’s hard to say if anyone has done more for Providence underground dance music than Jeff has. From taking over the reins of Volume Productions in the early 2000s and bringing us memorable nights like Plastic and Twist, to a decade of after-hours events at Club Therapy; more DJs have had the opportunity to cut their teeth and play for packed rooms because of this guy. Now as head of Causam Music and a partner behind PERFEKT, Jeff continues to push the culture and music forward. Rounding out the night will be DiscoTech resident HUGE. A Providence househead original, HUGE has been bringing the party to the people for over two decades. As the founder of Funky Communications he has hosted countless events, shining a positive light on the New England rave scene we love. Giving a home to DJs, dancers and music lovers from across the region has been second nature for HUGE. As New England’s premier House music selector, you can find HUGE playing throughout New England and New York. When not traveling you can find HUGE hosting numerous monthly events in Providence, DiscoTech being one of them. We hope you will join us to shake off some of the day.
