Gained in Translation – World Music Early Show 5-8 PM All Ages

“Gained in Translation” continues its exploration among the intersections of language and song. The new program features an expansive repertoire of familiar jazz and pop songs, musical pleasures shared around the world – as performed in 8 languages by stars like Sinatra, Dionne Warwick, Lady Gaga, Aznavour, Piaf, Jobim, Los Panchos, Brel, Trenet, and many more! These great songs transport us through their native French, Portuguese, Spanish, Yiddish, Italian, Japanese and Russian languages through the soulful voice of Victoria, and are interwoven in English by Moe. The band is a tight ensemble – all accomplished musicians with long histories of past performances from around the world featuring:
